Vitalik Buterin was born on January 31st, 1994 in Kolomna, Moscow Oblast, Russia. In the year 2000, his parents have moved to Canada for better opportunities, at that time he was six years old. Then in the year 2012, he studied at the University of Waterloo in Canada but didn’t complete his studies and dropout in the year 2014.

Then in the same year, he has joined a new online publication called bitcoin magazine as the co-founder. Bitcoin Magazine has become one of the biggest news websites for cryptocurrencies. He was a co-founder of that company till the year 2014.

When he was working in the magazine, he has got the idea of another cryptocurrency based on different blockchain technology. He wrote the whitepaper and called it Ethereum. And then it got good reviews by the experts and he filled for the ICO. ICO was also received with great response and raised around 31000 bitcoins. In the year 2016, Vitalik has revealed that he holds 630000 ethereum. Then later he declared that he has sold 25% of his holding for $1 million. After that he has acquired more ethereum or sold more holding is not known by anyone.

He is just 26 years old today and already has become a millionaire. Vitalik is a genius and he was interested in science. His interest was so great that at the young age of 10 years old, he was able to create computer games.
He was interested in the idea of a decentralized virtual currency. But soon he realized the limitation of the Bitcoin blockchain system.
