U.K residents will also be able to buy and sell crypto through PayPal

After the residents of the U.S, the residents of the United Kingdom will be able to use PayPal to buy and sell cryptocurrencies.
The company is planning to expand its crypto services to the UK in the coming months.c PayPal also plans to make crypto available for Venmo wallet holders before the end of Q2 2021, according to journalist Carl Quintanilla.

The firm’s CEO Dan Schulman also said during the Q4 earnings call that they are planning to expand the crypto services to “Venmo and select international markets” in the year 2021.

Since November of 2020, US users have been using PayPal to buy or sell cryptocurrencies. And on Jan 11 the volume of crypto transactions has touched a new high of $242 million on the app.

The platform’s customers will also soon be able to use cryptocurrencies to shop at any of the 29 million merchants in its network before Q2 2021.
The payment giant is working towards the digital currency future.
