Grayscale and Jack Dorsey donated to Coin Center
This year is proving to be an amazing year for cryptocurrency, regularly we are hearing about some big companies entering into the crypto world. On Wednesday, Coin Center, the leading cryptocurrency nonprofit in Washington, D.C. had announced that they have raised millions from the big names in the crypto industry.
Executive Director of Coin Center Jerry Brito has tweeted that they have raised $1 million from Grayscale Investments one of the biggest names in the industry.
Some time ago Grayscale has announced that it had donated $1 million to the advocacy group and pledged an additional $1 million in matched contributions.
The digital currency exchange Kraken also announced that it was pledging $100,000 to Coin Center.
Brito has again tweeted that Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has donated $1 million to them.
Jack has also backed Square which lets the users buy and sell bitcoins. Square is also one of the largest corporate holders of BTC, with 4,709 units of the virtual currency on its books. That’s equivalent to nearly $210 million in today’s value.
This crypto donation industry is flourishing since the bull run of 2017.
