Hester Peirce says that it is time for clarity on the regulations
With the entry of so many big market players in the market, the need for clear rules and regulation is much needed, says an official.
Securities and Exchange Commission’s commissioner Hester Peirce thinks that the need for clear guidelines and regulations is needed immediately due to the entry of big firms like Tesla and MasterCard.
On Saturday, she has discussed the implications of institutional crypto adoption with Reuters after last week’s events. Tesla has purchased bitcoin, BNY Mellon the U.S’s oldest bank had entered the market, MasterCard is planning to provide crypto services.
Peirce is widely called a “crypto mom” because she always calls on the SEC to provide more clarity in order to allow the crypto industry to thrive without fear of breaking the law.
She also said that it’s not just about new rules, new administration will bring a new way of looking at things as the market participants are also looking at a fresh perspective.
