In Mexico, Amazon is planning to launch a project on digital currency
Amazon is now planning to enter into the digital currency world, with a project in Mexico. There is no official announcement made till now but they have recently posted some jobs in an effort to maintain a discussion among the customers of Amazon.
The job posting reads, this product will help customers to convert their cash into digital currency and then you can use that in shopping, eating, etc.
According to the post, Amazon’s Digital and Emerging Payments (DEP) division is preparing to launch the project in Mexico first.
Another job posting is hiring software engineers of all levels, which means they are making the product for the emerging markets.
It is not clear that the project will be how much closer to the 8 years old “Amazon Coins” that helps the customers to transact in Amazon-issued cash across web games.
