Dogecoin has touched its new ATH, after many celebrities tweeted in its favor
These days the meme-based cryptocurrency is in demand, with many celebrities posting something in favor of it on Twitter. On Sunday, the dogecoin has reached a new all-time high, with American rapper Snoop Dogg joining the list of its supporters after Elon Musk and Kiss rock star Gene Simmons.
The rapper has tweeted a meme of a Shiba Inu, the dog breed that represents the DOGE token. The price of the cryptocurrency started trading around $0.056 at the beginning of the day and rose to $0.0872 Sunday afternoon before settling back to $0.084, up 55%, in the last 24 hours, eclipsing the all-time high of $0.078 set late last month. Year to date DOGE is up more than 1,380%.
Responding to the rapper’s tweet again Musk has tweeted another meme that promotes the coin.
On Saturday, Gene Simmons tweeted a picture saying that he is the god of dogecoin. Even pop star Kevin Jonas also supported the coin on Twitter on Saturday evening.
All this limelight had given a rise of 4 spots to the coin on the list of the most valuable cryptocurrencies.
